From October 31,03-Feb 20,04 I worked for Cliff Wang and Prof. Helen Downs at their W/B Racing Kennel in Lincoln, MT. I took a lot of photos in the time that I was there, please enjoy.

Out my plane window....

I didn't even sleep the night before. I had an extra dog that no one planned on me bringing, I was at the busy air pot at 5am Chicago time,.... but I could not sleep on the plane. The world outside my window held beauty to great to ignore.

The back yard in Montana...

One day while feeding the pups we saw a rainbow,... if you look close you can kind of see it.

Moose

I took these pictures just behind the dog yard in Lincoln,MT.

Race to the Sky

Even though I was Cliff Wang's live in kennel assistant /handler, I did not handle for him at race to the sky. In my place his handlers were Doug Swingley and Fabrizio Lovati. So instead I took pictures.

Sno Fire Kennel

While in Montana, I got a chance to visit Pat Shane at her home outside of Seeley.

Iditarod Drop Bags

may seem silly to include pictures of drop bags,... but for all the work that went into preparing for this race. These pictures serve well to remind those who would think of entering, that this is in fact an expensive race.

The Road home

February 20th, after the end of the Race to the Sky had ended, I rode back to the Midwest with Glenn Lockwood.

I arrived in De Forest, Wisconsin, and was then transported by my uncle and his friend, back to Mishawaka, Indiana.
