Just for fun, I thought I would take a moment to address food. All dogs eat it, some are healthier than others regardless of what they eat, some need a little more help.
When it comes to food I have a few theories that I work on..... I try to feed my dogs a high protein diet, that reflects and complements, the diet they would have eaten in their native climate.
We feed a mixture of both cat and dog food, that ranges in flavors, colors, sizes and shapes. Most importantly we try to serve a balanced diet that only uses common pet cereal as a diving board for meal planning. We mix and match dietary needs to different cereals.
Most of the mix consists of Cat food. There is a reason for this of course! We focus on building and keeping on dense muscle. It is not until winter that we use more volume of Dog food as filler.
Other than cereal, our dogs enjoy a range of vegetables, grains, meat, fish, eggs, and even occasional small amounts of fruit. We fresh prepare and tailor mix the entire diet of each dog.
